if she even knows. It always felt like they were making up those last couple of episodes as they went. If they had been picked up for a 3rd season, they might have figured it out then.

Seemed like it was headed that way. The general consensus is that Joan would've told Grace first, but where the storyline would go was apparently not discussed with the actors. None of them knows what might've come next. Guess the only way we'll ever find out is if someone asks Barbara Hall point-blank. That is if she chose to reveal it.

What would have happened if Joan had told Adam and the others about her abilities? Just watched the second season and that is what it seemed like they were going to do if the show got picked up again.

I'd read the prequels first if I were you, Shell. "The Haircut", "Future Prospects", and "Jane" all take place shortly after A/J break up, but are starting to thaw toward each other. "Butterflies" starts a few years later when they are both finished with college and back in Arcadia. All really good reads!

Read Butterflies first, Shell. The unrated version is much longer and better than the PG version.

Yep. She's amazing! I have to admit I'm a huge sucker for Adam/Joan. There's a lot of really good Grace/Luke stuff out there if you're into that. The only Grace/Luke story I've included in the above list is "Strangers on a Plane". And even there we find out that Adam & Joan got their happy ending. Enjoy!

There are nearly 40 pages of stories there, some of fantastic, others not so much. I'm sure people won't mind sharing their favorites. I remember a lot of us listing our favorites last year for another member. I'll try to find those posts.

Oh, you want to read our fics? I'd be honored! Do you want the epic or the stand-alones? Do you prefer uncensored or PG-ish?

There's no Ryan Hunter in Butterflies or the prequels. We just didn't care to follow that storyline. There are assignments from God though. And most of the characters figure into it, but it's above all an Adam & Joan story...

Yes, that episode was on the last SyFy marathon. "Ya-Ya" also sounds very close to "Yahweh," which makes sense, I guess. Deb, please lead me to the JoA fanfics. Just curious, does Ryan Hunter figure in any of them (since I recall reading that you did not care for that proposed storyline) ?

I need to snag the JoA box sets eventually. I have a couple of "for your emmy consideration" dvd's that I bought off eBay ages ago. I watch them when I need a lift.
